Created by the brothers Antonio y Agustín Nores Martínez, it took many years to ha ve the present Dogo. It resulted from the combination of several breeds, starting with the extinct wrestling dog from Córdoba to continue with the best qualities of the following breeds: Boxer, Great Dane, Great Pyrenees, French Bulldog, Bullterrier and Spanish Mastiff.

The temperamental qualities of this breed. its docility during instruction, its kindness, its subordination and total surrender to the owner. We should add an exceptional courage to face the enemy and a quick intelligence to solve situations when huntíng.

It is also used as a rescue and tracker dog, as a drug detector and as a blind man's guide.

The Argentine Dogo has the double and esteemed virtue of being terribly ferocious in combat, but pacific and kind with family members, becoming a loyal guardian of our house.

BRIEF HISTORICAL SUMMARY:
This race is it would originate of the county of Córdoba, located in the mediterranean region of the territory of the República Argentina.
Their creator was the Dr. Antonio Nores Martínez, member of a traditional family of that county and of profession doctor. Their passion for the dogs, perhaps for family legacy, it took it, in the year 1928, to fix the bases and a standard for a new canine race to which denominated Argentinean Bulldog. Their work left of the methodical cruzamiento among several pure races with the Old Cordovan Dog of Fight, copies these of a great power and strength, but unstable psychic and genetically, products of a miscegenation of Mastiffs, Bulldogs and Bullterriers, and that they were very well-known and appreciated in that time between the fanatic and bloody peleadores of dogs, common activity for that then and where they mixed all the social classes. After an intense and meticulous selection and study of characters, in several generations, it achieves their objectivo, forming the first family . In their orígines, it was considered by many as a dog of it fights, but the fervor for the hunt of the Dr. Nores Martínez makes that he/she gives him participation in one of its habitual hunt departures, where its qualities are demonstrated to those ends, becoming main figures in all their exits. This way you convertió quickly in an excellent Dog of Hunt. This same metamorphosis takes it today, through the years, to be a versatile dog in its functions, since he/she has demonstrated to be an exemplary nobleman of company and a faithful and impassable protector of what loves. Their strength, tenacity, smell and bravery, they make it inigualable inside the pack dogs for the hunt of boars, pecaríes, pumas and other species predadoras of the agriculture and the cattle raising that you/they inhabit the vast and heterogeneous regions of the Argentinean territory. Their harmony and their balance, the excellent musculature, characteristic of an athlete, they make it the ideal dog to support long voyages I lower very diverse climates and, after them, to sustain an arduous combat with the pursued prey.
May of 1964, 21 are recognized as race by the Federación Cinológica Argentina and for the Rural Society Argentina who you/they open their Genealogical Registration, beginning their inscription.
Newly July of 1973, 31 are accepted by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale, as the first and only Argentinean race, thanks to the vehement passion and to the inigualable work and effort of the Dr. Agustín Nores Martínez, brother and continuator of the creator's work.

GENERAL APPEARANCE
Moloso normotipo, mesomorfo and macrotálico inside the wanted proportions and without it is considered giant. Of harmonic and robust aspect, for their powerful musculature that makes low relief a consistent and elastic skin, stuck to the body by a not very lax subcutaneous fabric. Of walking calm and sure, sagacious and of quick reaction, showing permanent happiness in their movements. Of cordial and affectionate character and of an attractive whiteness; their physical virtues show it as a true athlete.

PROVIDE IMPORTANT

TEMPERAMENT / BEHAVIOR
Cheerful, franc, humble, friendly and little ladrador, always demonstrating to be aware of their power. It should never be aggressive, characteristic that will be severely observed. Their dominant condition shows it in continuous territorial competition with copies of same sex, characteristic that is more notorious in the males. As hunter, it is astute and silent, brave and hardened.

HEAD
Of the type mesocefálico, of strong and powerful aspect, without angles abrupt neither marked cincelamientos, it shows a concave-convex profile; convex in the skull, given by the relief of the muscles chewers and of the nape, and lightly concave in the face. It articulates with the neck, forming an arch of strong musculature.

CRANIAL REGION
Skull: Solid, convex in antero-later and traverse sense. FACIAL REGION

MOVEMENT

HAIR
